Snorkeling in Wondama

If you are very fond of snorkeling and want to explore new places, I recommend that you go to Wondama Bay. This regency has got a lot of islands and beaches that are the natural habitat of various kinds of coral reef. Anemonefish, surgeonfish, wrasse, grouper, damselfish, butterflyfish, spadefish, are some of the many tropical fish that snorkelers can see in Wondama.

To travel to Wondama, fly from your countey to Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia). After that take a domestic flight to Manokwari city. Sriwijaya Air, Batik Air, Lion Air provide regular flights to Manokwari city from major cities in Indonesia. When you arrive in Manokwari, I can meet you at the airport or at the hotel where you stay and organize your trip to Wondama by ferry or by small passenger plane. There are hotels, inns, guesthouses in Wondama which visitors can choose to stay. Before taking a trip to Wondama, make sure that you bring your own snorkeling mask, snorkel, fins, and underwater camera. I recommend Nikon W300, Olympus TG-6 but you can choose your own photographic devices.
